New Groundbreaking Camera from ARRI
At this years IBC, ARRI have just announced AMIRA, a new documentary-style camera that records HD1080 or 2K images onto in-camera CFast 2.0 flash memory cards. Combining the same sensor as the ALEXA with affordable CFast 2.0 workflows and an ergonomic design optimised for single-operator use, this camera is set to make a big impact on the industry, as Visual Impact Group Sales Director Tim Sparrock explains: “Once again ARRI have listened to the market and produced a stunning camera. Their ability to adapt, develop and innovate has once again resulted in them delivering the right camera at the right time. The ALEXA sensor with simple workflow, in-camera grading and one-man operation, what more could you want ?”

New Fujinon wide angle 4.K Cine Zoom Lens FUJIFILM launches the new Fujinon wide angle 4.K Cine Zoom Lens ZK2.5×14, which has a focal length covering 14-35mm. It’s the third lens for cinema cameras, equipped with a detachable servo drive unit. The ZK2.5×14 uses the highly adopted 35mm PL mount*1 for cinema cameras, and with its high optical performance, compact body, and weight of a mere 2.9kg*2. With the shift to high image quality video contents using 4K cameras for television productions, lenses with high optical performance for cinema cameras have been receiving a lot of attention. However, as the shooting method differs between cinema and television camera lenses, there are difficulties in the operation of cinema camera lenses for television production. New for cine lenses, Fujifilm have introduced the ZK series lenses, with detachable servo drive unit for zooming and focusing.

Cooke shows first production Anamorphic/i Lenses at IBC 2013 At IBC 2013, Cooke Optics will show the first two working production models from its Anamorphic/i range that was launched at NAB 2013. In addition, the first production model in the new Cooke Metrology lens testing range will be on display on Stand 11.D10, together with Cooke’s full range of miniS4/i, S4/i, and 5/i lenses.
